I'm sorry for posting yet another book tag but I just need some time to get into writing reviews again, so I hope you don't mind too much. Have an amazing day!

The playlist book tag (part I)

For this tag you're supposed to listen to your playlist on shuffle and choose a book for every song, but since I want the songs to actually fit to the books, I picked the songs manually. All of the songs however are in one of my playlists and I do listen to them regularly and like them a lot, so you can also see this as some kind of a music recommendation. All in all, these are just some songs that remind me of books. Anyway, I hope you enjoy this tag!

Deep end by Birdy | All the bright places by Jennifer Niven

Wide awake in the glow, can't do it alone

Brother by Mighty oaks | A knight of the seven kingdoms by George R.R. Martin

And we had laugh through the night
Call the star's
By the fire shining on
Through the night
We will run
To the rising life and on
Through the night
Burn the flames
The world will know our names

I'm really sorry I haven't posted anything in such a long time, but over the past month I've been in Iceland for two weeks and the rest of that time I've been binge watching Arrow and The flash (both of these tv shows are amazing btw) and just didn't really feel like writing anything. However, I'm trying my best to get motivated again and hopefully I'll manage to post more or less regularly again.
Anyway, I hope you enjoyed this slightly different book tag. Have a nice day!

Mid year freak out tag

I know I'm a bit late with this tag, but I wanted to give you a little update with my reading year anyway, so I hope you enjoy this book tag!

1. Best book you've read so far in 2016

This question is extremely hard to answer since I've read so many different books and nearly all of them are really good in their own way and it's difficult to compare them. Right now, I'd probably go with Lady midnight by Cassandra Clare, which is truly outstanding, but it's just so hard to choose only one.

2. Best sequel you've read so far in 2016

Definitely A court of mist and fury by Sarah J. Maas. I even preferred it over the first book in the series and can barely wait for the next one, because her books just seem to become better and better. A close second by the way is certainly The winner's kiss by Marie Rutkoski, since it does a fantastic job at ending The winner's trilogy and is in general just a really good book.

3. New release you haven't read yet, but want to

I think I've caught up with all the new releases I've definitely wanted to read, but a book that's been recently released and sounds interesting is This savage song by V. E. Schwab, but before picking it up I'll definitely read her Shades of magic series.

4. Most anticipated release for the second half of the year

It's impossible for me to choose between Crooked kingdom by Leigh Bardugo and Empire of storms by Sarah J. Maas. It. is. honestly. not. possible.

5. Biggest dissappointment

Sadly, I have to go with Glass sword by Victoria Aveyard for this question. I just didn't like it at all, even though I really enjoyed the first book in the series called Red queen. (If you're interested in my specific reasons for disliking this book so much, you can read my review which I've linked below.)

6. Biggest suprise

I was really suprised I ended up liking The nothing girl by Jodi Taylor as much as I did, because it's just not exactly what I usually enjoy reading. I got this book as a present from my aunt and uncle and even though I'd never thought of buying a book like this myself, I liked it a lot.

7. Favorite new author (debut or new to you)

I've read actually a lot of books by authors that are new to me this year, but the one that managed to suprise me the most is Brandon Sanderson with his work Warbreaker. Despite having read so many fantasy novels already, Warbreaker was a new experience for me and in some ways unlike any book I've ever read.

8. Newest fictional crush

I'm very sure I'm not the only one with this answer, but how can you not fall in love with Rhysand from the A court of thornes and roses series by Sarah J. Maas? We don't get to see him a lot in the first book, so I didn't really consider him a fictional crush until reading A court of mist and fury, where he plays a way bigger role, this year.

9. Newest favorite character

Two characters that quickly became some of my favorites are Alina Starkov from The grisha trilogy by Leigh Bardugo and Adelina Amouteru from The young elites series by Marie Lu. Both of them are similar in the way that they are at least to some extent heroes who turn into antagonists, which I think is really interesting and it's great to experience their journeys.

10. Book that made you cry

To be honest, basically every book manages to make me cry, so I'm just choosing another new favorite, which is The night circus by Erin Morgenstern. It's such a beautiful and at some points heartbreaking story and I just can't recommend it enough.

11. Book that made you happy

The moon and more by Sarah Dessen did a pretty good job at making me feel happy and is in general a quite good contemporary book that puts you in the perfect mood for summer.

12. Most beautiful book you've bought (or received) so far this year

Does The world of ice and fire by George R.R. Martin, Elio M. GarcĂa and Linda Antonsson count for this question? The cover isn't that pretty, but the artwork inside in return is truly stunning and spectacular. It's just amazing to actually see the places and events you've read so much about in the A song of ice and fire series drawn in such a beautiful way on the pages of a book.

13. What books do you need to read by the end of the year?

I don't think I necessarily need to read any books by the end of the year, but I do hope to have read American gods by Neil Gaiman by then, because the tv show premieres at some point in 2017 and I want to have finished the book before that.

In case you're interested in reading my reviews for any of the books I've mentioned, you can click below to get to each one:

Lady midnight
A court of mist and fury
The winner's kiss
Glass sword
Warbreaker
The grisha trilogy
The young elites
The night circus
The moon and more

I hope you've enjoyed this book tag, although my answers are pretty short and my english probably isn't as good as it usually is due to the fact that I'm just really tired and unfocused right now. Anyway, have a nice day!

Disney princess book tag (part II)

Here's the second part of the Disney princess book tag. If you want to check out the first part, click here. I hope you'll enjoy it!

Pocahontas: A book whose ending is a roller coaster of emotions

The ending of Ruin and rising, the last book in the Grisha series by Leigh Bardugo, was just too much for me. I felt so many emotions and couldn't decide whether I was happy or sad about the ending and ended up bawling my eyes out for the last couple of chapters.

Mulan: A book with a kickass female character

How can I not choose Celaena Sardothien from the Throne of glass series by Sarah J. Maas for this question? She's basically the definition of a badass character, so reading about her adventures is so much fun.

Tiana: A book with a hardworking, self-made character

I honestly thought about this question for quite some time, but couldn't really come up with anyone who fits this describtion a 100% and isn't my answer for any other question. I guess the closest comes Agnieszka from Uprooted by Naomi Novik because she certainly does work hard to improve her skills and also has to do some chores, so I hope she counts as a valid answer for this one.

Rapunzel: A book featuring an artist

Actually quite a few characters come to my mind as answers for this question, but I'm just gonna go withe Feyre from the A court of thornes and roses series by Sarah J. Maas because of the lovely scene that involves her painting for like three days straight in A court of mist and fury.

Merida: A book featuring a mother-daughter relationship

At first, I thought this is one of the easiest questions to answer out of all of them, but once I really started thinking about it, I realized how often the main character's mother is just dead or gets killed after a few chapters. A mother-daughter relationship however I do remember to be pretty sweet is the one between Marguerite and her mom Sophia (is that even her name?) from the Firebird series by Claudia Gray.

Anna & Elsa: A book with a great sibling relationship

The relationship between Adelina and Violette Amouteru from The young elites series by Marie Lu isn't what you'd typically call great, but what I really love about it is the development of it. It's so lovely and empowering to see how much both of them came to understand, trust and support each other over the course of the first two books and I'm beyond excited to see what they're up to in the next one, especially because of what happened at the end of The rose society between those two.

I hope you enjoyed this book tag and hopefully you didn't mind me splitting the tag into two parts. Have a wonderful day!

Disney princess book tag (part I)

Since I'm completely stressed out at the moment because of all the exams I have to study for, I'm gonna split this book tag into two even parts. I hope you don't mind that both posts will be pretty short and you'll enjoy it anyway! (Click here to get to the second part.)

Snow white: What's your favorite classic?

I absolutely love The great gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald. The time period in which it takes place sounds amazing and I'd love to visit one of the fabulous parties. It's one of the first classics I've read and it definitely motivated me to start reading more classics.

Cinderella: What book kept you up way past your bed time?

It happens very often that I'm reading for way too long in the night and end up feeling horrible the next day in school. I'm not entirely sure, but I think the book that kept me up the longest is Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins which I finished at around 3:30 am when I read it for the first time a couple of years ago.

Aurora: What's your favorite classic romance?

A tale of two cities by Charles Dickens. I usually hate love triangles, but that one is just perfect and incredibly beautiful and sad and emotional and I love it. It's also the only love triangle where I actually like both guys equally. Another pretty cool aspect is that the book is set during the French Revolution, which is quite interesting.

Ariel: A book about sacrifices and fighting for your dreams

I think Celia and Marco from The night circus by Erin Morgenstern sacrifice a lot for each other and manage to build the world of their dreams in the circus and that's a really wonderful thing.

Belle: A book with a smart, independent female character

One of the only female characters I can think of who never did something really stupid is Margaery Tyrell from the A song of ice and fire series by George R.R. Martin. She's incredibly smart and despite her pretty young age she knows exactly how to achieve her goals and how to manipulate people for her purposes.

Jasmine: A character who challenges the social conventions of their world

Kestrel from the Winner's trilogy by Marie Rutkoski certainly doesn't want to fit in the way her society pressures her to, so I guess it's no big suprise she ends up playing a part in a revolution.

Again, I'm sorry for keeping this so short, but hopefully you've enjoyed it. Have a lovely day!

The Hamilton book tag (part II)

I know, I'm really lazy and boring, but since I don't have anything exciting to post anyway, I'm just gonna answer the bonus questions of the actual Hamilton book tag, so this is gonna be a pretty short "tag", but I hope you'll enjoy it anyway!
(Click here to get to part I)

Helpless - A relationship you were pulling for from the very start

I rooted for Lara Jean and Peter from the To all the boys I've loved before series by Jenny Han from the very beginning, they're one of my OTPs and I just love them so much together. Is there anything more to say?

Ten duel commandments - Favorite fight scene

I actually really enjoyed the fight scenes in Warbreaker by Brandon Sanderson, mainly because of the pretty unique magic. The fight dynamics are because of that special magic system a bit different than what I'm ususally used to reading about, but I liked the fighting nonetheless.

Say no to this - Guilty pleasure read

Does The selection series by Kiera Cass count as a guilty pleasure read? To be honest, the books aren't that amazing, the writing is nothing special, the story is extremely predictable and the characters are mostly stereotypes, but I still enjoyed reading these books a lot and while I'm definitely not ashamed of having read them, I also don't mention them often when I talk about books.

What comes next - A series you wish had more books

The Six of crows series by Leigh Bardugo! I know, the series is not even finished yet, but I can already say that two books are just not enough. The first one is one of my most favorite books ever and I can barely wait for Crooked kingdom to be realeased, yet no matter how good or bad it is I want a third book. The world, the characters and the story just have so much potential and I don't want them "wasted" on just two books.

Right hand man - Favorite BROTP

Dunk and Egg's friendship in A knight of the seven kingdoms by George R.R. Martin may not be what you'd usually call an ordinary BROTP, but despite their age difference they're inseperable and a really good team. And let's be honest, they're just both so cute and I adore them so much.

What'd I miss - A book or series you were/still are late reading

I feel like everyone really loves The lunar chronicles by Marissa Meyer, but despite hearing so much praise for it, I still haven't picked it up. For some reason I'm not that interested in it at the moment and the books don't appeal to me much, yet I'm probably gonna read them since all the positive reviews are gonna pressure me into reading them sooner or later.

Wait for it -  most anticipated upcoming release

Is this even a question? Obviously The winds of winter by George R.R. Martin. The worst thing about waiting for it is not even having some sort of vague release date. It literally could be finished tomorrow and published in about three months or it could take until 2018 to finally have the book in bookstores. I'm in general a not really patient person, so this waiting drives me crazy. Just give me the book already!

Have a nice day!

The Hamilton book tag (part I)

Let's be honest, I'm probably the last person to join the Hamilton hype and I don't even know why the heck I didn't listen to it when I first heard of it, but better late than never, right? Anyway, I'm loving it and I can already feel I'm going to be obsessed with it, so now is the perfect time for me to do the Hamilton book tag.

The room where it happens - A book world you would put yourself in

Since I'm pretty sure I wouldn't survive longer than a week in any kind of dangerous world, I guess I'd be pretty safe living as an Erudite in the world of Divergent by Veronica Roth, but obviously prior to Tris' revolution, so as long as I wouldn't break any rules no harm would come to me. And honestly, there are certainly worse things than working as a scientist, doing the stuff I'm fascinated by and being surrounded by people with similar interest. Also, I guess my whole family would be sorted into Erudite, so I wouldn't even be seperated from them.

The Schuyler sisters - An underrated female character

I absolutely love Nehemia from the Throne of glass series by Sarah J. Maas and she certainly doesn't get the credit she deserves, since everyone's so focused on Celaena. Don't get me wrong, I love Celaena as well, but just because Nehemia is in a different way badass doesn't mean she's any less awesome, yet I think most readers don't really appreciate her that much.

My shot - A character that goes after what they want and doesn't let anyone stop them

Definitely Jay Gatsby from The great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald. He spends nearly his whole life trying to get together with Daisy, throws all these huge and incredibly expensive parties for her and does everything to make her happy, so she becomes his wife or at least his lover. I mean, that's basically the definition of determination and he's the last one to throw his shot away.

Stay alive - A character you wish was still alive

Since I want to keep this tag spoiler-free, I'm not going to go for a single character, but rather for a bunch of them, who all die in the A song of ice and fire series by George R.R. Martin. I guess it's common knowledge that a lot of characters get killed in these books, and I obviously was aware of it as well when I started reading, but it still hurt seeing most of my favorite characters die. So there are of course actually quite a lot of characters I wish were still alive.

Burn - The most heartbreaking end to a relationship you've ever read

I'll just go with the probably most mainstream answer, which is The fault in our stars by John Green. Honestly, there's nothing more to say than that this whole story is so freaking heartbreaking.

You'll be back - Sassiest villain

My most favorite villain ever is the Darkling from the Grisha trilogy by Leigh Bardugo and even though he's not actually that sassy, he's going to be my answer anyway because he's perfect and my precious little cinnamon roll and I love him.

The Reynolds pamphlet - A book with a twist that you didn't see coming

I definitely didn't see the twist in Red queen by Victoria Aveyard coming, and that's what made this book so good. I love shocking twists, especially since I often feel that the plot of many books is just so predictable and boring.

Non-stop - A series you marathoned

I think it took me less than two days to read the If I stay series by Gayle Forman, simply because I just couldn't stop reading. And crying. I had to cry constantly during reading this heartbreaking story, but it honestly was so worth it since the books are amazing.

Satiesfied - Favorite book with multiple POVs

I'm such a big fan of books with multiple POVs since I think it just adds so much more depth to the story, and even if I don't like one of the main characters, I don't have to suffer reading the whole book from his/her perspective. One of my all-time favorite books is Six of crows by Leigh Bardugo and the different POVs are definitely a reason why I love it so much.

Who lives, who dies, who tells your story - A book/series you feel like will be remembered throughout history

I guess everyone who does this tag chooses the same answer for this question, which is obviously the Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling. I feel like it already is a classic and I can't really imagine a time where people wouldn't want to visit this fantastic world she created. The story can be read and enjoyed by everyone, no matter his/her age, gender, nationality and everything else. The series has been super popular for nearly twenty years now, and I'm sure the hype won't die anytime in the near future.

I hope you enjoyed this book tag, I'm sorry for not going into too much detail with my questions, but just like always life is stressing me out a bit, so I don't have that much time for writing posts.
(If you want to read the second part of this tag click here.)
Anyway, have a wonderful day!

The seven deadly sins book tag

1. Greed - What is your most inexpensive book? What is your most expensive book?

To be honest, I have no clue what the cheapest book, that I own in physical form, is, but I got Obsidian by Jennifer L. Armentrout as an e-book on my phone for free.
The most expensive book I own is probably the German hardcover edition of Clockwork princess by Cassandra Clare, which cost around 30€, and the most expensive one I bought as a christmas present for my older brother is probably The world of ice and fire by George R.R. Martin, Elio Garcia and Linda Antonsson with a price of nearly 45€.

2. Wrath - What author do you have a love/hate relationship with?

I don't hate any authors because I just know them as writers, not as human beings and I'm also way too grateful for their great works to have such strong dislikes against any of them. The only author that does annoy me a bit is George R.R. Martin since he just needs so much time to finish his books and I'm a not very patient person, but I do (or at least I try to) understand his situation and I guess in the end I'll be glad he took his time and didn't rush the last two books in the A song of ice and fire series.

3. Gluttony - What book have you devoured over and over again with no shame?

The book series I've reread the most is definitely the Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling. These books were literally my childhood and I'll love them forever. However, the series I'm most obsessed with is the A song of ice and fire series by George R.R. Martin because I just love it so freaking much.

4. Sloth - What book have you neglected reading due to laziness?

I've wanted to read Sense and sensibility by Jane Austen for quite some time now, but I've always procrastinated it because it just takes me forever to get through books written in that time period and I didn't enjoy Pride and prejudice that much, so I'm also not very excited to start it.

5. Pride - What book do you talk about most in order to sound like an intellectual reader?

I really don't read to seem like a more intelligent person and I think that's a super stupid thing to do anyway. If you want to read, do it for your own enjoyment or the personal gain you might get, but don't do it just because you want other people to think you're smart. Anyway, the books I'm proudest of finishing are Great expectations and A tale of two cities by Charles Dickens since I think it's a pretty big accomplishment for me to have read them as a still pretty young person, which native tongue isn't English. Yet I'd never boast of reading these books to sound intellectual.

6. Lust - What attributes do you find attractive in male characters?

I think it always depends on the total package of attributes if I fall for a fictional character or not. What I do want them to be is clever and loyal in any way. And, let's be honest, a pretty face doesn't make them any less attractive.

7. Envy - What book would you most like to receive as a gift?

I'm happy about every book someone gives me as a gift, as long as books in a series match and I don't receive a second copy of a book I already own. Of course it'd be great to receive ARCs of books I look forward to reading, but it's not like I absolutely need them.

I hope you enjoyed this little book tag. Have an amazig day!

The BFF book tag

1. Setting the example: A pair/group of book bff's that you love?

Definitely the crew from Six of crows by Leigh Bardugo. They are amazing as a group as well as individuals. I love their chemistry and loyalty and reading about them is just so much fun! I can barely wait for Crooked kingdom to come out in September and at the same time I'm already sad the series is gonna be over since it's just a duology.

2. Childhood bestie: Which book character would you like to grow up with?

I think growing up with Cath from Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell would have been pretty amazing since we share the same interests and are in general quite alike. She's in general pretty calm, so I guess it wouldn't be too stressful to hang out with her a lot and we'd get along wonderfully.

3. Frenemy: Which book character would bring out your competitive side?

I'm not a competitive person at all and as long as I'm satisfied with my achievements, I don't care if someone else is better than me and even if I'm not, I blame myself instead of hating the other person for being better. The only character I can think of right now I definitely wouldn't grant succeeding in something is Cersei from the A song of ice and fire series by George R.R. Martin, mostly because of her insufferable arrogance. I'm not gonna lie, seeing her fail at something feels so good.

4. Fashion guru: Who would be the bestie whose closet you'd want to raid or would want to go on a shopping spree with?

Lara Jean from the To all the boys I've loved before series by Jenny Han for sure. I absolutely LOVE her style. I really like cute skirts with overknee socks, bows and polka dots so I think our style is pretty similar even though she wears a lot more colorful clothing (my whole closet basically only contains black, grey and white clothes). Anyway, I'd love to own her clothes (and her boyfriend as well).

5. The bad influence: Which character would you want to commit a small act of rebellion with? (Go skinny dipping, sneak into a movie, have a drug race with, etc.)

That's actually a really difficult question since I'm a person who pretty much always sticks to the rules, so I'd definitely never do something like sneaking into a movie or stealing. But I do think someone as confident and fun as Sloane from Since you've been gone by Morgan Matson would probably at least make me skip a lesson with her, because she's good at inspiring people to be brave and to do stuff they'd normally wouldn't do. And let's be honest, the idea with the to-do list full of dares is awesome, so simply because of that she'd manage to make me want to rebell with her.

6. Blood brothers: Which character would you want to be your surrogate big brother/sister? (You can do both if you want!)

Is that even a question? Obviously Alec and Izzy Lightwood (and Max as well since he's so adorable) from the The mortal instruments series by Cassandra Clare. I love them both so much. They're incredible loyal to each other and just support each other in any way possible. As the youngest child in my family, I'm used to my brothers being protective, which I actually quite like, and both Alec and Izzy are super protective as well, which just shows how much they care about each other and the rest of their family, so I wouldn't mind having them as older siblings at all.

7. Mother hen: Which character would you want to be by your side when you're having a bad day to cheer you up?

Probably Marlee from the Selection series by Kiera Cass because she's always in a good mood and just an extremely positive person in general and I don't think you can still be sad after spending some time with her.

8. The counselor: Which character would you go to for relationship advice or confide a secret to?

Maybe Celia from The night circus by Erin Morgenstern? I feel like she can definitely keep a secret and also gives quite good advice. Her relationship also works out pretty good, so she should be the right person to approach and ask for help.

9. More than friends: Who would be your book boyfriend/girlfriend?

I've already answered this question so many times, but honestly I can't even tell you often enough how perfect Robb Stark from the A song of ice and fire series by George R.R. Martin is. I just love him. A lot.

I'm so sorry for being absent these past few weeks, but I'll hopefully finish my reread of the A song of ice and fire series soon since I'm nearly done with the third book right now, and once I'll start reading something else again, I'll definitely write weekly reviews again. Until then, I hope I'll be able to do a book tag every week. I hope you enjoyed this book tag and have a fantastic day!

The mortal instruments tag

Since I've finally finished reading City of heavenly fire by Cassandra Clare a few days ago, I thought it'd be interesting to make the Mortal instruments series tag. I don't know if there are official questions, so I just picked a few I like and I'm going to answer them. And yes, it took me over a year (actually almost two) to eventually read Cohf and I don't even know why I didn't read it earlier but I'm glad I finally did.

1. Who is your favorite character?

Well, I like a lot of characters and I can't settle down on one but if I had to, I would choose Izzy or Jace. Jace is just the perfect mix between bad-ass, caring, funny and hot and I totally fell for him. The reason for naming Izzy is that I think she's really tough. Like she's been through a lot but she still looks out for her friends and she is such a strong young woman and I really appreciate that. And I love the way she treats Alec (it's like there's a strong band between the two of them and I'm also pretty close to my brothers and that's a good thing).

2. Who is your OTP?

Clace and Malec! I ship them soooo much and they are both my OTPs and their relationship is just perfect. No need to say more.

3. If you could have any shadowhunter last name, what would it be?

I actually like the sound of the name Shadowwalker or Nightshade but since all German shadowhunters have stupid names in the books it would probably be something like Fishblood.

4. What downworlder would you be?

Hard question... I guess either a vampire or a warlock or a werewolf. I would certainly not be a fairy. Being a werewolf actually sounds good bc I could walk around in the daylight but I could still defend myself against my enemies. And I feel like I'd be a crappy warlock and always mess around with spells and all that stuff. So for the world's sake it would be best if I became a werewolf.

5. Who is your most hated character in the series?

I don't hate any of the evil characters and I actually liked Sebastian, so I can't name a villain here. So I go with Maureen bc she was the most annoying person in the book (especially after she became a vampire) but I don't like Simon in many situations either bc he always fails but he still is overpowered. And he's annoying as well (e.g. when he turns Maureen in a vampire or when he manages to get kidnapped by the vampires in the beginning of City of bones).

6. Jem or Will?

Even though I really hated the love triangle in the whole TID series, I can't say who I like more. When I started reading the books I loved Will more but then Jem did something cute and I changed my mind. And I changed it so many times that I chose to love both equally so I don't have to settle down on one.

7. If you could spend a day with any character, who would it be?

Definitely Magnus. He would show me some of his magic tricks and after that we'd go to one of his parties and have a lot of fun there and then we'd talk the rest of the day about a lot of things. I mean, who wouldn't like to speak with an immortal warlock?!

8. Your favourite book of the series?

All of them?! I only have great memories of all those books and they were the reason why I really got into the world of fandoms and fangirling and all that stuff. So it's impossible for me to name only one!

I hope you enjoyed this tag and have a nice day!

The book courtship tag

I actually wanted to do this tag for such a long time because I love the concept of structuring the questions according to the different stages of courtship, and I've finally come around to it, so let's jump right in!

Phase 1 - Initial attraction: A book you bought because of the cover?

I absolutely LOVE the cover of Six of crows by Leigh Bardugo. It looks so stunning, so when I saw it in the bookstore, I couldn't help but buy it immediately despite having no clue what it's about. Since the story is amazing as well, I luckily have no regrets.

Phase 2 - First impressions: A book that you got because of the summary?

Can you keep a secret? by Sophie Kinsella sounded based on its summary like a fun and quick read, so I bought it and wasn't dissapointed at all. I had such a good time reading it because it's a sweet and hilarious story at the same time.

Phase 3 - Sweet talk: A book with great writing?

The writing in Warbreaker by Brandon Sanderson is amazing and it's definitely one of the biggest reasons why I enjoyed this book so much. I really plan on reading another book by Brandon Sanderson this year because if his other books have writing that's as fantastic as the one in Warbreaker, you can't help but have a good time reading them.

Phase 4 - First date: A first book of a series which made you want to pick up the rest of the series?

Shadow and bone by Leigh Bardugo as well as Throne of glass by Sarah J. Maas are the perfect start for the two series and definitely made me long for more!

Phase 5 - Late night phone calls: A book that kept you up all night?

Since I mostly read at night anyway, I could answer this question with a lot of books, but I'm just gonna go with Carry on by Rainbow Rowell because this book is amazing and reading it was certainly worth being tired in school the next day.

Phase 6 - Always on my mind: A book you couldn't stop thinking about?

If you've read any of the other book tags I did so far, you'll know there's only one answer to this question: the A song of ice and fire series by George R.R. Martin. I've read it for the first time nearly a year ago and I've honestly been so obsessed with it ever since. I just can't stop thinking and talking about it and I'm spending way too much time searching for any kind of theories and discussing them with other readers. You have no idea how much I'm looking forward to rereading these fantastic books in (hopefully) about one or two months.

Phase 7 - Getting physical: A book which you love the way it feels?

I love touching and hugging books no matter what (that sounds kind of weird, but you know what I mean), but my paperback copy of Ice like fire by Sara Raasch feels really nice. The texture feels good and it has the perfect size for hugging.

Phase 8 - Meeting the parents: A book you would recommend to your family and friends?

I think my parents (epsecially my mom) as well as some of my friends would really enjoy The night circus by Erin Morgenstern. Honestly, I'd recommend it to everyone, because I just love everything about this story and reading this book is such a special experience, so I wouldn't want anybody to miss it.

Phase 9 - Thinking about the future: A book or series you know you will reread many times in the future?

Like I mentioned before, I'll definitely reread the A song of ice and fire series, not only because I love it so so much, but also because you need to read it at least two or three times before you understand every single connection between characters and events, since the books are just so complex and detailed. I'm already looking forward to seeing all the foreshadowing and details I missed on my first read!

I hope you enjoyed this tag and you're having a nice day!

Totally should've book tag

This book tag looks like a lot of fun, so let's do it! Don't expect any detailed and long answers since I'm quite busy as well as not feeling that great at the moment, but I hope you'll enjoy it nonetheless.

1. Totally should've gotten a sequel

The night circus by Erin Morgenstern! I just need more (yes, I'm kind of addicted to this book), and knowing that there's not gonna be a sequel makes me really sad.

2. Totally should've had a spin off series

A book tag wouldn't be complete for me without naming the A song of ice and fire series by George R.R. Martin as an answer and I would honestly do nearly anything to get a prequel about the events that happened 14 years before A game of thrones takes place, especially since I have so many questions about that time that are unaswered so far.

3. An author who totally should write more books

I know this is a pretty mainstream answer, but it's been years since John Green released a new book and I enjoyed most of his books that I've read so far, so I'm obviously really excited he's currently writing a new one. Please hurry up!

4. A character who totally should've ended up with someone else

I did love the ending of The grisha trilogy by Leigh Bardugo and wouldn't want to change it, but I'm not gonna lie, I wouldn't have minded Alina ending up with the Darkling, same as Tessa ending up with Jem in the Clockwork angel trilogy by Cassandra Clare. Apart from that, I'm usually quite happy with the couple that ends up together.

5. Totally should've ended differently

I didn't really like the ending of Vanishing girls by Lauren Oliver because it just felt unsatisfying and flat, so while I definitely enjoyed the beginning and middle part of the book, I wasn't a big fan of the way it ends.

6. Totally should've had a movie franchise

I would definitely love to see The wrath and the dawn by Renée Ahdieh as a movie. I think the story is quite fitting for a movie and seeing the whole oriental ambiance and culture would be pretty amazing and also quite unusual.

7. Totally should've had a TV show

Maybe the Remnant chronicles by Mary E. Pearson? I'm not 100% sure about that one, since I've only read the first book so far because the paperback of the second book hasn't been released yet and I want my copies to match, but I enjoyed it a lot and think it could really work.

8. Totally should've had only one point of view

Usually I love multiple POV in books, especially if they're done as amazing as in the ASOIAF series, but the POVs in Allegiant by Veronica Roth were just unnecessary and super confusing since they sound so alike. I have to admit it took me quite a few chapters to even realize there are multiple POVs in this book because they're just too similar.

9. Totally should have a cover change

So luckily nearly all of my books have beautiful covers, the only ugly one is Just one day by Gayle Forman, but apparently this book already has two different covers and the other one looks alright, so I'm gonna go with the German version of the Harry Potter books. They just look disgusting and creepy.

10. Totally should've kept the original covers

The Magisterium series by Cassandra Clare and Holly Black. I like the cover of the first book The iron trial a lot, but for whatever reasons you can only get the second book in another, way uglier version, so just like basically every other series I own, they don't match (and that makes me seriously SO mad).

11. Totally should've stopped at book one

I can't really answer this question since I've never read any sequels where I wished they wouldn't exist, but I'm gonna choose The 5th wave by Rick Yancey even though I haven't read the sequel, simply because I don't have any motivation to pick it up and actually quite liked the way The 5th wave ends.

I'm really sorry I didn't write longer aswers, but I hope you enjoyed it anyway! Have a great day!

Reading problems tag

Since I've basically only written reviews lately, I wanted to mix things up a bit, so I decided to do this tag. I'm sorry it probably won't be too detailed and long, because even though my exams are over now, I'm still pretty busy with school.

1. You have 20000 books on your TBR. How in the world do you decide what to read next?

That's probably a scenario that's never gonna happen to me! I'm already happy if there are at least 10 books on my TBR, so I won't have to spend money on books for the next two months. Anyway, what book I choose to read next always kind of depends on my mood or what genre I'm into at the moment as well as to some extent to what season currently is. I guess that sounds pretty weird, but I feel like I enjoy contemporary novels way more during spring and summer, while I love reading fantasy in the fall and winter months.

2. You're halfway through a book and you're just not loving it. Do you quit or are you committed?

I have to finish it. No matter how much I have to force myself to keep reading or how big the reading slump is gonna get, I just hate leaving a book and the story it tells unfinished. I genuinly can't think of one right now I haven't finished, regardless of how much I've hated it. I even completed all the reading I had to do for school so far and my teachers seriously picked horrible books for us to read.

3. The end of the year is coming and you're so close, but yet so far away on your goodreads reading challenge. Do you try to catch up and how?

Since I've only completed one goodreads reading challenge (and surpassed my goal by reading over 10 more books than I actually planned to) so far, I've never been in this situation and don't really know what I'd do. As long as my goal is reasonable and I have an actual chance of catching up, I'd probably try to do it by picking up fast paced and short contemporary novels, because I do get kind of ambitious with completing my reading challenge.

4. The covers of a series you love do. not. match. How do you cope?

I barely do. This happens so often to me and my reactions are mostly complaing and whining about it to basically everyone I'm close to. Luckily most of my friends and family understand the struggle!

5. Everyone loves a book you really don't like. Who do you bond with over shared feelings?

Fortunately I have quite a lot of friends as well as my brother who love reading as much (or nearly as much) as I do, so I usually find someone to share my thoughts with. And even if I don't, there're still somewhere people on the internet who understand me.

6. You're reading a book and you're about to start crying in public. How do you deal?

I honestly just go for it. I know it's extremely embarrassing, but I don't care too much in that moment. I just want to enjoy the book as much as possible and if that involves showing emotions, I'm fine with it. Since I'm also quite good at crying without nobody else noticing, it's not that big of a deal. In a way, I'm even a bit used to it because I start crying super easily. So if you ever see a girl reading and crying in public, that's probably me.

7. A sequel of a book you loved just came out, but you've forgotten a lot from the prior novel. Will you reread the book? Skip the sequel? Try to find a synopsis on goodreads? Cry in frustration?!

I mostly just pick up the sequel, since I usually remember what happened in the prior book while reading. I have to admit I always actually plan to reread the first book, but most of the time never come around to actually doing it.

8. You do not want anyone - ANYONE - borrowing your books. How do you politely tell people nope when they ask?

I hate lending out books to anyone else than my really REALLY close friends, because I'm just super scared of something happening to my books or just never getting them back. I often just tell them I already lent them out to someone else and it's probably gonna take a while until I get them back, so they just forget about it in the majority of cases. A lot of my friends also don't read in English, so they're luckily not that interested in my books.

9. Reading ADD. You've picked up and put down 5 books in the last month. How do you get over your reading slump?

I usually go for short and fast paced contemporary novels or books that I'm 100% sure I'll enjoy to get over a slump. In case nothing helps, I try rereading some of my favorite books/series. Anyway, I've never had to deal with really big slump, so I'm definitely not the best person to give advice on this matter!

10.There are so many new books coming out that you're dying to read! How many do you actually buy?

As many as I can afford. Sadly my parents don't pay my books any more, so I'm basically broke most of the time because I'm spending way too much money on them. But I'm fine with it, since books are amazing.

11.After you've bought the new books you can't wait to get to, how long do they sit on your shelf before you get to them?

It always depends on how many books are currently on my TBR and which ones I'm most excited for. Sometimes I start reading a book right after I bought it and sometimes they have to wait a few months on my shelf, but I'm quite proud that I can say I (nearly) never let a book stand on my bookshelf for longer than half a year before I get to it.

I hope you enjoyed this tag and you're having an amazing day!

2016 resolutions book tag

Hey guys and happy new year! We hope your start in 2016 was good and that you're looking forward to an amazing year! Like many other people we have some resolutions and thought it would be motivating and interesting to share them.
Our resolutions are probably pretty similar, but hopefully you'll enjoy this post anyway!

Bookish resolutions

In 2016, I will...

Vicky:
1. Read at least 30 books (Well, that doesn't sound much compared to Leah but I really wanna achieve my goal and this year is gonna be very stressful).
2. Find "unknown" books and try reading new genres I've never read so far or that I didn't like.
3. Read at least one book in spanish (I learn it in school for a bit more than two years now and I think I'm ready for reading in this wonderful language)

Leah:
1. Read at least 50 books. (I really hope I'll be able to achieve my goal, even though school is going to be pretty stressful, especially in the new school year that starts in September.)
2. Give different genres a try and start reading a variety of books and authors.

Book blogging resolutions

In 2016, I will...

Vicky:
1. Write more reviews (Like 2-3 per month) and finish them faster (I sometimes need two weeks to finish one little review...)
2. Follow the post schedule (our plan is to post Wednesday and Sunday but I fail pretty often with posting so I'm sorry for that and I try to do it better in 2016)

Leah:
1. Write at least two reviews per month (and actually post them that month).
2.  Follow the post schedule and stop posting on random days as much as possible.

Career/Academic resolutions

In 2016, I will...

Vicky:
1. Try to be more active in class.
2. Be happy about what I've achieved and the good school I'm able to go to.

Leah:
1. Try to be more interested in my lessons.
2. Appreciate my school/teachers more and feel grateful for getting such a good education.

Personal resolutions

In 2016, I will...

Vicky:
1. Be more focused on the projects I wanna do and finally start them (My gosh that sounds way more epic than it is... I literally just don't wanna lie in bed all day)
2. More sleep is always a good resolution. I definitely don't get enough sleep and my bed time is mostly pretty late, but I know that although I don't often feel tired it's not good for my health so I should better sleep more this year.

Leah:
1. Definitely get more sleep. Even though I don't get that tired if I don't sleep enough, I start feeling
stressed out by small things and feel in generel just shiftless, so I really need to change that this year.
2. Stop worrying and try to have a more positive attitude.
3. Stop wasting so much time on social media.

Hopefully when we'll look back at these resolutions next year, we actually managed to achieve most of our goals. Good luck with your resolutions!

The unpopular opinion book tag

1. A popular book or series that you didn't like

Vicky: Allegiant by Veronica Roth! I just didn't enjoy this book bc it was soo boring and I disapprove Tris' character development. I started reading Alleigant even though I didn't like Insurgent at all and I have to admit that I regret it. So this is a popular series/book I simply couldn't get along with.
Leah: I feel like I'm the only person who doesn't like the Shatter me series by Tahereh Mafi. I bought the books because of their absolutely stunning covers and I regret it so much! I seriously had to force myself to finish them, they bored me so much, were predictable and I just didn't care about the characters at all.

2. A popular book that everyone hates but you love

Vicky: I think Twilight isn't as bad as everybody says. I mean, of course there are many stereotyped teenager romance scenes in there and the whole story isn't very unique or excellent written but in my opinion the book is good as a way of passing time.
Leah: A lot of people apparently don't like the The hundred series by Kass Morgan, but I genuinely enjoyed it quite a lot. Although these aren't my all-time favorite books and the writing as well as the story weren't extraordinary, they are still very enjoyable.

3. A love triangle where you're ship did not sail

Vicky: That's a hard question... Of course I have a  favourite ship in every love triangle but usually I can live with the other couple being together as well. So I guess I go with Jessa bc I love Jem and I think he would have been the better man for Tessa?! (Thanks Cassie for destroying my fangirl feels btw)
Leah: That's actually something that doesn't happen very often for me. Mostly my favorite couple ends up being together, or I just can't stand both options. The only one that comes to my mind right now is Can you keep a secret? by Sophie Kinsella, where I liked Connor a bit more than Jack as Emma's boyfriend.

4. A popular genre that you hardly reach for

Vicky: I don't have a genre I don't like to read after some time but a genre I almost always regret reading are thriller... There are a few very good thriller books but I feel like I'm mostly choosing the wrong ones.
Leah: There are actually quite a few genres I rarely or don't read like thriller, horror, erotica and most of the non-fiction books. I feel like the good thriller and horror books are too intense for me, while non-fiction books like biographies just bore me.

5. A beloved character you didn't like

Vicky: Actually there is only one person I'd like to name: Gale Hawthorne from the Hunger Games series. Do I have to say more than he's just not my favourite character?! (Obviously understated...) And I know that many people love him and I can see that he's a good companion for Katniss and all that stuff and I don't even know why I don't like him... It's just a feeling!
Leah: I just can't stand Ron Weasley from the Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling. I don't think he adds anything interesting to the story, probably because he's just acting like an asshole most of the time. He always treated Hermione so badly and honestly wasn't that great of a friend to Harry most of the time.

6. A popular author you can't get into

Vicky: I couldn't get into Rick Yancey or rather in The fifth wave. I don't know if he counts as a famous author but I usually like reading popular authors (Like, they are popular for a reason...)
Leah: I wish I could get into Rick Riordan, because basically everybody loves his books and I want to as well. I read the whole Percy Jackson and the Olympians series and didn't really enjoy it, mainly due to the writing style, so I didn't care much for both the characters and the story.

7. A popular book series you have no interest in reading

Vicky: I'm not really interested in reading The Lord of the rings bc I've seen the first two movies and I feel like I wouldn't like the whole world. But who knows... maybe someday soon I'll read it and fall in love with those books...
Leah: I have to go with The lord of the rings as well since I read The hobbit earlier this year and it was so disappointing! The story was boring and predictable and even though the book is actually quite short, I had trouble motivating myself to read on, so it took me way too long to finish it.

8. An adaptation you like better than the book

Vicky: I like the movie version of Love, Rosie better than the original book. Although the book was cute written with all those letters and emails, it got a bit boring reading the whole story without dialogues. Besides there are so many wonderful actors starring the movie such as Lily Collins and Sam Claflin!
Leah: I honestly can't think of one right now, so I'll just go with Great Gatsby. I wouldn't say the adaptation is better than the book, but it's probably the best book to movie adaptation I've seen so far. They stuck really close to the book, the casting with Leonardo DiCaprio as Jay Gatsby was fantastic and I loved seeing how the fabulous story and time period came to life.

We hope you enjoyed this little tag! Have a great day,

Vicky and Leah

Game of thrones tag

I just wanted to take a quick break from studying for school, so I only have time for this short tag. I hope you enjoy it nonetheless.
And I'm kepping this tag spoiler-free, so even if you haven't read the A song of ice and fire series (yet) or watched HBO's Game of thrones you can still continue reading without any worries. Also, I'll answer the questions for the books, so I might mention characters or places we've never seen in the tv show.

1. How did you discover the books?

My brother started reading them (in German) about two years ago and absolutely loved them, but told me I should wait at least another year and a half before I read them (which was honestly such a great advice, because I probably wouldn't have liked them very much if I was any younger when I started reading them). When he got the books in English for his birthady in April this year, I finally started reading them and they're some of my most favorite books now.

2. Who is your favorite house apart from the Starks and Lannisters?

"Unbowed. Unbent. Unbroken."
Definitely the Martells! They're my by far most favorite house because of their attitude towards women and bastard children. And I absolutely adore every character from house Martell we've met so far: Oberyn is such an awesome and badass fighter, Doran is really smart and a great schemer and I enjoy Arianne's and Quentyn's POV chapters so much! Of course, the sand snakes are incredibly amazing as well (and I'm still sooo mad at the writers of Game of thrones for making the sand snakes so awful and crappy in the show!). And let's be honest, they have the by far most awesome and badass house words.

3. Who is your favorite character from the House of Stark?

This question is actually quite difficult. I totally love Arya, but I also have such a huge crush on Robb! So I guess I'll just go with both of them.

4. Who is your favorite character from the House of Lannister?

First of all, the Lannisters are one of my least favorite house, the only one I hate more is probably house Greyjoy, and except for Tyrion I dislike every Lannister in some way (of course, Tommen and Myrcella are pretty cute, but we haven't seen that much of both of them). Even though I learned to love hating Cersei and got some weird affection for her through that and probably enjoyed her chapters in A feast for crows, simply because they are satisfying af, so much more than Tyrion's in A dance with dragons, I'll still pick Tyrion as my anwser.

5. Who is your favorite character?

There are so many! But just some randomly chosen characters I absolutely adore are Missandei, Strong Belwas, Dacey Mormont, Shireen Baratheon, Tormund Giantsbane, Wylla Manderly, Alayne Stone, Willas, Garlan and Loras Tyrell, Renly Baratheon and a lot more.

6. Who is your least favorite character?

Ugh, I don't even know where to start! I could give you a list with more than 20 characters I absolutely hate, because there are so many horrible people in this story. Some I loathed from the very first time they appeared are Viserys Targaryen, Joffrey Baratheon, Ramsay Snow, Craster, Theon Greyjoy (basically all Greyjoys, maybe except from Asha) and Shae.

7. What are your thoughts about the show?

In my opinion, season one to three were absoultely amazing, I still liked season four, but season five was just horrible. Apparently the writers of the show tried to create their own story and changed so much from the books and just failed miserably. They changed storylines so nothing would make any sense and killed off random characters without any kind of purpose.

8. If you could be one of the characters who would you be and why?

I probably would have said Danaerys Targaryen because DRAGONS and she also has the coolest squad ever (well, except Jorah and Daario), but now that I think about it a bit longer, I guess I'd be Bran Stark. Of course, he's been through so much shit, but I think having the powers he has is so cool and I love the relationship between Bran and his wolf Summer, and having such a special connection to your pet (or animals in general) must be awesome, right?!

9. What is your favorite book?

I LOVE all of them so much, but right now I probably like A dance with dragons best, because it focuses a bit more on politics and scheming than the others do.

10. Who is your Game of thrones crush?

"Love's not always wise, I've learned. It can lead us to great folly, but we follow our hearts...wherever they take us."
Like I mentioned before, I have such a big crush on Robb Stark. He's compared to most of the other characters truly nice and honorable, but still (mostly) smart enough to know what to do in precarious situations. And his age is also really close to mine, which makes having a crush on him a bit less weird (at least I hope so...).
(The quote above is one of my favorites, said by Robb Stark in CATELYN II, ASOS)

11. What are you most looking forward to in the upcoming book?

Everything! But what I'm currently probably most excited about is the storyline in Oldtown and the opportunity to learn more about the maesters and the citadel in general. I'm also really interested to see what's going to happen with the current situation in Meereen. And of course, I'm dying to see what's gonna happen especially in Dorne and King's Landing, and I'll be seriously so happy if we get to see the Manderlys again!

I hope I did fangirl enough to keep my mouth shut about A song of ice and fire for the next few weeks here and obviously hope you enjoyed this little tag. Have a nice day,

Leah

The A to Z bookish survey tag

So this book tag is quite long, but we hope it's not too dreary and you'll enjoy it nonetheless!

Author you've read the most books from

Leah: My most read author is Cassandra Clare. I've read the whole Mortal instruments and Infernal devices series, the Shadowhunter codex, the Iron trial and seven of the short stories from the Bane chronicles, which makes a total of 11.7 books.
Vicky: The author I've read the most books of is probably R.L. Stine. He's written the Fear Street books and I have read like 30 stories from that series.

Best sequel ever

Leah: I absolutely loved Crown of midnight by Sarah J. Maas and of course A clash of kings by George R.R. Martin. Another sequel that I think is amazing is P.S I still love you by Jenny Han.
Vicky: Actually that's a hard question and I guess I don't really know... but I'm currently reading Crown of midnight and until now I can totally agree with Leah!

Currently reading

Leah: I'll start reading The maze runner by James Dashner tonight and I'm actually quite curious to see whether I'll enjoy it or not, since I've heard a lot of different opinions on this book.
Vicky: As mentioned above I recently started the Throne of glass series which I love so far and I just got to the second book.

Drink of choice while reading

Leah: I don't drink anything special while reading, so I guess either water or tea?
Vicky: Okay, I have this kind of tradition that whenever I read before having breakfast (especially during the holidays), I drink a cup of hot chocolate. So I think that's my drink of choice.

E-reader or physical book?

Leah: Definitely physical book! I love the feeling of holding a book in my hand, turning the pages and actually seeing the progress I'm making.
Vicky: Physical books, of course! They are beautiful and I can't help but love the good feeling you have when you hold it in your hands.

Fictional character you probably would have dated in high school

Leah: I have absolutely no idea. Maybe Josh from the To all the boys I've loved before series by Jenny Han? It'd probably be someone completely ordinary, but smarter than the average guy is, and I suppose he would stick to nearly every rule, just like me.
Vicky: I'd say Adam from If I stay because I also like ordinary boys who are just the normal teenager like me. And Adam is a musican and I totally appreciate that!

Glad you gave this book a chance

Leah: When I was about eight years old, I didn't want to read the Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling because the German covers look horrific and scared me so much! Voldemort kind of looks like a spider (and I'm terrified of those!) and Harry just looks like a complete psychopath. Anyway, in the end I did pick them up and I'm so grateful I did, because Harry Potter was such a big part of my childhood.
Vicky: Maybe I forget about a book but the only one I can remember is a Fear Street book and the cover scared me so much I was afraid of reading it (You probably just think about how scary the German book covers are but the original covers from Fear Street are not better... but the Harry Potter ones are!).

Hidden gem book

Leah: So far pretty much everything I've read were well-known books, so I'll just pick one of my most favorite German books, which is When Hitler stole pink rabbit by Judith Kerr,
because I guess it's not that established in other countries.
Vicky: Free to fall by Lauren Miller! This book is amazing. I've discovered it in the library and I'll pick it up again to read it another time bc it was sooo good!

Important moment in your reading life

Leah: Probably reading City of bones (and of course the rest of the series). It really got me into this world of fandoms, bookstagram, booktube and all this amazing stuff.
Vicky: I think reading The hunger games was an important book for me bc it made me a real fangirl and it also got me in the whole fandom world with booktube, bookstagram etc.

Just finished

Leah: I finished The book thief by Markus Zusak a few days ago and I didn't even manage to read the first 50 pages without starting to bawl my eyes out, so especially the last part just killed me.
Vicky: Thorne of glass by the amazing Sarah J. Maas. I love this book and I'm so excited for reading the next books of the series.

Kinds of books you won't read

Leah: I'm honestly not the biggest fan of thriller, but a genre I'll certainly never touch is erotica.
Vicky: Probably erotica as well.

Longest book you've read

Leah: I'm not sure at all about this one, but I think it's A storm of swords by George R.R. Martin with 1123 pages (plus an appendix with 50 pages).
Vicky: I guess Harry Potter and the order of the phoenix with more than 1000 pages?!

Major book hangover because of

Leah: A dance with dragons by George R.R. Martin. I'm literally not able to stop talking about the series (I'm sooo sorry!) and having to wait so long for the next book isn't making it any better.
Vicky: Resistance by C. J. Daugherty bc the end was too much to take for my little fangirl heart and I had to wait for the next book to come out for way too long (It has been published by now and I'm so glad about it).

Number of bookcases you own

Leah: I only got one kind of big bookshelf in my room, but there's a huge one in our living room.
Vicky: Now it's getting a bit complicated... I don't have a regular bookshelf but instead of it there's a huge shelf above my bed and I use it as a bookshelf (I don't think anybody can imagine what it looks like xD). So in fact I own many smaller parts of a bookshelf (#actuallybeingconfusing)

One book you have read multiple times

Leah: I've read a lot of books actually at least twice, so I'll just choose the Hunger games trilogy by Suzanne Collins.
Vicky: I often read books more than once, so I'll simply choose The fault in our stars by John Green which is my favourite book.

Preferred place to read

Leah: I love sitting on my super cozy bed while reading. But I read basically everywhere, so as long as there's a place to sit on or a not too crowded corner where I can stand, I'm happy.
Vicky: My bed/couch bc it's soo comfortable sitting in a corner reading something. But I like reading everywhere as well, so I actually don't have a preference.

Quote that inspires you

Leah: My most favorite quote right now is this one from A game of thrones by George R.R. Martin, because it just shows how important family and friends are:
"When the snows fall and the white winds blow, the lone wolf dies but the pack survives."
Vicky: Okay, that's another hard question bc I feel like there are so many wonderful quotes I could choose. But one quote that inspires me since I've read the book is "Fake it 'till you make it." from If I stay. It just gives me the feeling that I can do more things than I think I can. But as I said above, I can't write down all quotes that inspire me!

Reading regret

Leah: I haven't read An abundance of Katherines by John Green yet, even though I really want to.
Vicky: By now I haven't read Anna and the french kiss by Stephanie Perkins, but it's on my tbr list!

Series you started and need to finish (all books are out in series)

Leah: I still need to read the third book in the Silver: the book of dreams trilogy by Kerstin Gier. It's probably not happening very soon, because a lot of people disliked this book, even though they enjoyed the first two books in the series.
Vicky: I made a mistake by stopping after the first book of the Vampire academy series bc I've lost my interest in it. But instead of studying I was watching videos of the movie cast yesterday and now I'm really looking forward to reading those books.

Three of your all-time favorite books

Leah: I can't choose at all. There are just way too many fantastic books out there!
Vicky: I can only agree with Leah. I'm sorry!

Unapologetic fangirl for

Leah: Basically everything? I love fangirling about all my favorite books, tv shows, movies and artists/songs.
Vicky: Too many things! I feel like I'm fangirling about something all the time (either books, tv series, movies, musicans or soccer games).

Very excited for this release than all the others

Leah: The winds of winter and A dream of spring by George R.R. Martin! TWoW will hopefully be released in spring 2016 (before the sixth season of HBO's Game of thrones aires) and I don't even want to imagine how long we'll have to wait for ADoS. The wait is seriously killing me. (That's why I have such a huge respect for the people who've picked up A game of thrones when it was released in 1996 and have been waiting for the end of the series for nearly 20 years so far!)
Vicky: I can't wait for the next John Green book to come out but since it hasn't been announced yet when it'll come out my answer for this question would be The crown by Kiera Cass (Please tell me I'm not the only one who doesn't like the cover... The girl doesn't look pretty or natrual!).

Worst bookish habit

Leah: I like to think I don't have any bad bookish habbits, but I definitely broke the spines of a few of my paperbacks (unintentionally of course!).
Vicky: I honestly don't have a bad bookish habit... I suppose.

X marks the spot: start at the top left of your shelf and pick the 27th book

Leah: The 27th book is A court of thornes and roses by Sarah J. Maas. This book was just epic and one of my most favorite books I've read this year for sure.
Vicky: Last sacrifice by Richelle Mead is the 27th book on my shelf and I can only repeat how excited I am for finishing the Vampire academy series.

Your last book purchase

Leah: The last books I bought were Happily ever after by Kiera Cass, Six of crows by Leigh Bardugo and Ice like fire by Sara Raasch. I'm pretty proud of myself for only buying these three books the past month, since I really have to stop spending soo much money on books.
Vicky:  When I was at the book store the last time, I bought Red queen by Victoria Aveyard and The girl on the train by Paula Hawkins. And I'm proud of myself bc I didn't spend that much money on books this month either and I think that's a success!

Zzz-snatcher book (last book that kept you up way late)

Leah: It happens way too often that I don't get even close to sleeping enough due to reading. But the last book that I've read and couldn't put down at all was Six of crows by Leigh Bardugo, and I'm not even mad because being tired was so worth reading this stunning book.
Vicky: It has to be Throne of glass another time. I couldn't stop reading it till midnight (or even longer) and it was a mistake somehow bc I had an exam the following day and I was pretty tired when I woke up. But I think it was worth it!
